DECEMBER 2009: MUSEUM DEVELOPMENT PROGRESS

NOVEMBER 2008: "JACK" CURRENTLY BEING RESTORED
The RTM's favourite small locomotive JACK (formerly known as ARCHIE) has been leased for an extended period to the Lake Macquarie Light Rail group at Toronto where it is currently undergoing a full restoration which will see it returned to operational condition.
The locomotive has now assumed its correct identity as JACK.

The reasons behind the decision made relating to the lease were published in the August 2008 ROUNDHOUSE magazine. This was followed by a comprehensive history of the locomotive in the November 2008 issue of ROUNDHOUSE.
SEPTEMBER 2007: THIRLMERE UPGRADE CONCEPT PLAN
The NSWRTM with the Office of Rail Heritage are pleased to announce the release of details of the Concept Plan for the Thirlmere Upgrade.
The plan was formerly presented to members at a special meeting at Thirlmere on Saturday 18th August 2007 where members and interested members of the local community were briefed on progress with the re-development.

SEPTEMBER 2007: NEW WEB ADDRESS
In order to simplify access to the NSWRTM web site, a new domain address has been created.
It is www.nswrtm.com.au.
It is hoped that the change will make access to the RTM's web pages easier to find. The original address of www.nswrtm.org will continue to function.
AUGUST 2006: SUSTAINABLE RAIL HERITAGE MANAGEMENT STRATEGY
The Sustainable Rail Heritage Management Strategy is an inter-generational plan to conserve and display the State's rich railway heritage.
